Further to its announcement on 14th May 2002 Pilkington plc confirms that at a Board Meeting held earlier today

(a) Stuart Chambers was appointed Group Chief Executive in succession to Paolo Scaroni;

(b) Paolo Scaroni was appointed Deputy Chairman; and

(c) Pat Zito was appointed an Executive Director.
